Joan Baron, VP Asia Pacific region for TELUS International and CEO of TELSK, announced today that TELSK was acquiring the contracts and staff making up Dongbu Info's (KOSDAQ-044640) Outsource Business Division.
This acquisition includes 22 staff and a total of 14 outsourcing contracts signed with 12 different clients many of who are banks and financial institutions based in Korea. The scope of services and contracts transferred includes three focus areas; total outsourcing (applications and IT infrastructure), IT infrastructure outsourcing (Help Desk, Desktop, network and Server operations) and Help Desk solutions.
TELSK's existing IT service desk and call centre operations will synergize with the Help Desk solution business from Dongbu. The acquisition also provides TELSK with additional capabilities and scale to enhance its ability to address the end-to-end technology sourcing needs of TELSK's existing and future customers to drive new business.
TELSK and Dongbu Info have agreed to complete the transition of staff and contracts during the month of October 2004.
